Helpful Hints on Yoga Practice

The breath is our refuge and should be our guide into and out of each asana as well as the point of focus while remaining in an asana.

Finish your daily practice with a slight hunger for the next one as though you are completing a meal. If u overindulge you may find the next meal to be less pleasing

Regulate your practice. Create a pattern of the practice that you may maintain on a regular basis. It is better to practice 3 days per week for a year than to practice 6 days a week for one month and then nothing for another month. Stay regulated and the benefits will accrue.

Create the Time to Practice. There are many reasons we may find to avoid practice. It is up to us to make it priority n our day like brushing our teeth. It is better to practice a little than not to practice at all. Give yourself permission to do a minimal amount and u will find that u will generally end up practicing more. The hardest part of practice is getting to the front of the mat.

Hydrate! It is important to drink plenty of water before and after practice but do not drink during practice. If u drink too much water just before practicing however you will find yourself running to the toilet in the middle of your session so time your water consumption with the that in mind. Water is the best liquid to consume and room temperature is the best rather than icy cold or hot water.

Breathe Deep ans Feel the Heet! The deeper and more complete the breath the deeper and more complete will be the practice.

Enjoy Your Practice! ^_^
